ANGAMARDANA

Invigorate yourself with Angamardana this Summer!

Angamardana is a system rooted in yoga that offers everyone the opportunity to invigorate the body and reach peak physical and mental health. “Angamardana” means gaining complete mastery over the limbs, organs, and other parts of the body. This practice revitalizes the body on all levels including the muscles, blood circulation, skeletal structure, nervous system, and the basic energy system. It strengthens the spine, builds physical strength, fitness and tenacity, taking years off the body.

Angamardana needs no fitness equipment. It involves only the body and floor exercises that can be practiced anywhere, even during travel.

Regular practice of Angamardana revitalizes the body in many ways:
-Strengthens the spine, skeletal system, and muscular system
-Builds physical strength, fitness, and tenacity
-Takes years off the body, bringing a sense of lightness and freedom
-Prepares the body for Hatha Yoga

Sharings from Students

“Already see huge improvements…”

Namaste. Did my shambhavi at 3 this morning then drove back to sacramento. Did my first Angamardana and it was unbelievable for my first time. Already see huge improvements from yesterday and can't believe how much I actually ended up remembering…Anyways I can't thank the both of you enough for teaching me!! I'm so grateful for that experience and can't wait to see where it takes me!!

-Jimmy

“I did not expect such quick results.”

I have noticed some amazing transformations since I learned Angamardana a couple weeks back from Jean and Tejas. It has only been a couple weeks of practicing every day and my flexibility is improving so much. When I first started learning this, I was struggling to do most of the poses even less than half way into stretch. Now I’m way better and can touch my knee to my forehead and my fingers are almost touching my feet for some of the exercises. I did not expect such quick results. The soreness I get from practicing feels different from any other kind I have experienced before. It’s like a benign and gentle soreness that almost feels good. I don’t really know how to describe it exactly. It doesn’t restrict my movement like weight training soreness has where I can’t extend my arm for days or feel throbbing pain somewhere. This soreness is just so different in a good and amazing way. And I can feel more of my body than I even thought possible! I have noticed something else as well. There is a hill by my house that I hike every now and then. Before, I would have to stop around halfway to catch my breath. I hiked the same hill a few days ago easily without needing to catch my breath at all!! I have only been doing weight lifting up until starting Angamardana and never really did any cardio which is why I used to run out of breath. This time, it was almost effortless. Honestly this feels like such a complete practice. It does take a while to do, but I’m sure I will get faster as I get better at it. Currently, it takes me over an hour to do, sometimes an hour and a half. I am so excited to see what happens after practicing for a month or even a year! I highly recommend learning Angamardana from Jean and Tejas. They are wonderful people and conducted the class so well and guided me on some corrections for my practice after I took the class. I am so happy I took this Isha Hatha Yoga class from them and I really look forward to taking more classes with them. -Deva
