Angamardana, Outdoors

Angamardana is a system rooted in yoga that offers everyone the opportunity to invigorate the body and reach peak physical and mental health. “Angamardana” means gaining complete mastery over the limbs, organs, and other parts of the body. This practice revitalizes the body on all levels including the muscles, blood circulation, skeletal structure, nervous system, and the basic energy system. It strengthens the spine, builds physical strength, fitness and tenacity, taking years off the body.

Angamardana needs no fitness equipment. It involves only the body and floor exercises that can be practiced anywhere, even during travel.

Regular practice of Angamardana revitalizes the body in many ways:
-Strengthens the spine, skeletal system, and muscular system
-Builds physical strength, fitness, and tenacity
-Takes years off the body, bringing a sense of lightness and freedom
-Prepares the body for Hatha Yoga

We will be taking precautions for this in-person class:
1. We are keeping the class size to 6 students maximum.
2. This class will be conducted outdoors.
3. You must bring your own mat.
4. You must enter wearing your mask, but may take it off when doing the processes; we will have adequate separation and a constant change of air due to the outside environment and the frequent breezes in the area.
5. We will be keeping at least 6 feet distance apart throughout the session.
6. Any Angamardana processes which involve pumping of the breath will be done facing away from each other.
7. Hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, and disposable masks will be available.
9. High-touch surfaces will be disinfected regularly
10. Bringing your own water is encouraged; however, water will still be available on the premises.

We will be doing the practice inside a spacious open-air event tent for shade. (However, you can choose to do your practice just outside the tent if you prefer more sunlight.)

For more information on group classes during the time of Covid-19, you can refer to this article by the New York Times:
What’s the Future of Group Exercise Classes? https://nyti.ms/3eM59X8
(In the study presented, epidemiologists uncovered zero cases resulting from indoor classes with fewer than 5 students per session or from low-intensity yoga or Pilates classes, even if they were taught by an infected instructor. Other types of group classes, however, were found to be a source of infection.)

Location: We will be having class in a very large outdoor space at a residential home. The location is in Hidden Meadow Court, in East San Jose (Evergreen District). The address will be given to you after registration.
